Privacy policy.

This Privacy Policy describes how Hoagland Software Solutions (single-member llc, referred to here as “we” or “us”) handles information in connection with hoaglandsoftwaresolutions.com (the “site”). It covers what the site itself does with data (almost nothing), what the third-party tools embedded on the site do with data, and what choices you have.

The site has no analytics installed — no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no PostHog, no Vercel Analytics, no Microsoft Clarity, no Hotjar, no Meta Pixel, no Segment, nothing. It sets no cookies. It does not use localStorage, sessionStorage, or browser fingerprinting. There is no client-side tracking of any kind.

It turns out you can ship a fast site without spying on people. If we ever add any of the tools above, this section will be updated and the change will be flagged at the top of this page for at least 30 days.

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like every web host, Vercel’s edge servers receive your IP address and User-Agent header for each request — this is how HTTP works, not a separate data collection. Vercel may retain those request logs briefly for abuse prevention and performance diagnostics. See Vercel’s privacy policy for details.

Two third-party services are embedded on this site. When you interact with them, your data goes to those companies under their own privacy policies — not ours.

Dubsado (contact form and client portal)

Our contact form on /contact and our client portal on /client-portal are both embedded iframes served by Dubsado. When you submit the contact form, your name, email address, phone number (if provided), project details, and any other information you enter are transmitted directly to Dubsado’s servers. The same applies to anything you submit through the client portal. Dubsado may set its own cookies inside the iframe to manage the form session.

We use the information you submit through Dubsado to respond to your inquiry, prepare proposals, manage projects, and handle invoicing. We do not sell or rent this information. For details on how Dubsado handles data, see Dubsado’s Privacy Policy.

Cloudflare CDN (iframe-resizer script)

The contact and client portal pages load a small script called iframe-resizer from cdnjs.cloudflare.com so the embedded iframes resize cleanly. Loading that script makes a single HTTP request to Cloudflare, which receives your IP address and User-Agent — again, the same disclosure every CDN request requires. If you email us at seanh@hoaglandsoftwaresolutions.com, your message and contact details are stored in our email provider (Google Workspace). We retain those messages for as long as the business relationship is active and a reasonable archival period after. Please don’t include sensitive information in email that you wouldn’t want recorded.

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through this site, contact us and we’ll arrange for it to be deleted.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under California’s CCPA, the EU’s GDPR, or similar laws:

• Right to access — to ask what personal data we hold about you.
• Right to deletion — to ask us to delete it.
• Right to opt out of “sale”— we don’t sell or trade personal data to anyone, full stop. There is nothing to opt out of.
• Right to non-discrimination— exercising these rights won’t change how we treat you.

Important caveat: since this site itself stores almost nothing, most deletion requests will actually need to go to Dubsado (for contact-form submissions and client-portal data) or to your email provider. We can help you route a request — just email us.

We honor Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals by virtue of not tracking anyone in the first place.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes — for example, adding analytics or any new third-party tool that handles your data — will be flagged at the top of this page for at least 30 days before taking effect.
